Grant explained that he stumbled into this field by chance. He was searching for a job and applied to an opening that asked if he was comfortable working with medical equipment. “Knowing how the things I do can improve someone’s life motivates me. Whether it’s creating a custom insole to go in a patient’s shoe or helping to fit and fabricate someone’s prosthetic leg, you can see their mood shift once they finally get relief and a sense of feeling whole again.”
