COVID-19: Our Commitment To You

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to present itself in locations throughout the U.S., I wanted to assure you that Snell Prosthetics & Orthotics is focused on protecting the health and safety of our patients, employees, and associates in the communities we serve.

We are closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation and are following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). With this information, our team is developing and implementing calculated and thoughtful plans of action related to our approach to patient care and other operational elements of our business.

Proactive actions we are taking:

  • Requiring Snell team members to take preventive measures recommended by the CDC to help stop the spread of the virus, including but not limited to: washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoiding contact with others who are sick, and staying home if symptoms are present.
  • Provided our employees with mandatory training containing prescriptive preventive measures and resources, including: facts on the virus, reinforcement of facility cleaning guidelines, guidance on personal protective care and use, and instructions on reporting a COVID-19 exposure.
  • Communicating with Snell Prosthetics & Orthotics patients through various channels to ensure that they reschedule an appointment if they have a fever, cough and/or difficulty breathing, have traveled to or had close contact with someone who has traveled to high risk areas, or have tested positive for or been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
  • Restricting non-essential employee travel, limiting non-essential visits to our facilities, and encouraging use of virtual meetings by utilizing the company’s teleconferencing system and through other methods as needed.

Rest assured, we’ll continue to closely monitor the developing situation and follow the CDC’s recommended guidelines and take any necessary measures. Our top priority remains to protect the health and safety of the employees and the individuals we serve.

With sincere regards,
Frank Snell, CPO, LPO, FAAOP
