Chose O&P Field Because
“Like the Hank Williams song, it’s a family tradition,” says Jim who was first introduced to the O&P profession by his stepfather Garry Owens, a practitioner who worked at Snell Prosthetics & Orthotics for nearly five decades before retiring a few years back. Once Garry explained how the devices worked, Jim realized that he possessed the fabrication skills necessary to help those in need.
“I like having the opportunity to custom fabricate prosthetic and orthotic devices, so that my patients can be part of the design process.”
Jim is a car enthusiast who loves Corvettes and happens to own an antique hot rod.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
